Quotes of encouragement, they’re so helpful in times of need. At our low points, encouragement is often what can center us again. But what if we told you that God gives us passages of encouragement, of correction, of identity, of comfort, and so much more that we can lean on in any season of life. Maybe you know God, and this serves as a wonderful refresher. Or maybe you’ve never met this man named Jesus and are unsure of his unfailing love. We pray these pieces of scripture spark a fire in your soul and equip you to know who God says you are so that you can add purpose in your recovery. You, beautiful sister, are God’s treasured possession, nothing you do can separate you from the love of God. Read these scriptures and affirm yourself daily –
You are a child of God.
“But to all who have received him – those who believe in his name – he has given the right to become God’s children.” John 1:12
The Lord takes delight in you.
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing” Zephaniah 3:17.
You are justified and redeemed.
“But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:24
You are chosen, holy, and blameless before God
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.” Ephesians 1:4
You are valuable to God
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” Ephesians 2:10
God is alongside you in your journey.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.
Nothing can separate you from God’s love.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height not depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.
You are supported by God.
“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.” Psalm 46:5.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the Image of God.
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Prayer: Lord, help me to see every day who you say I am. Thank you for loving me fiercely, forgiving me freely, and calling me your own as I walk this path of life. Amen.
